Legendary former Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci says he expects to be ‘entertained’ by new Bianconeri boss Thiago Motta and has also offered advice to Italy star Federico Chiesa amid uncertainty over his future.
During his talk with the media, Bonucci explained that he feels Juventus have already improved this summer following the signings of Michele Di Gregorio, Douglas Luiz, Khephren Thuram and Juan Cabal.
He also expects Thiago Motta to bring football excitement after his success last season.
“Staying away from Juventus, emotionally speaking, is impossible for me. It was and is a part of my belief in football and as part of my life as a football player”.
“Thiago Motta has a strong team, which has improved with the acquisitions made. He will entertain us and I hope he can return to the fight for the Scudetto, from start to finish.”
“I’m sure he will show his worth. He has the characteristics of a great coach,” Bonucci told Sky.
Bonucci also admitted that Federico Chiesa needs to reassess his priorities and objectives ahead of the 2024/25 season, but says he will ultimately stay with Juventus despite being linked with a move away from the Allianz Stadium.
“I think he needs to understand what he wants. In recent years, he has had physical and character difficulties, now he has to take another step to become a top player. I hope that he will be at Juventus”, declared Bonucci. /Football Match Up/
