UEFA always punishes them, but Celtic fans continue to support Palestine: A new message in the Champions League match

The Green Brigade fan group, widely known for their love of Celtic and the courage to vividly explain everything they think with a slogan at matches, once again emphasized the message of support for Palestine in the Champions League.

Celtic fans do not give up their strongest possible support for Palestine in difficult times. From match to match, they announce slogans dedicated to the Palestinian people next to the flags of this country, and so it was last night in the Champions League match.

European football’s governing body (UEFA) has no mercy on Celtic fans, but they don’t really care. So in recent years they have paid fines and fines for pro-Palestinian slogans and in November they were fined 19,000 euros just for the Palestinian flag in the Champions League.

Despite knowing they will be punished for standing again in a match in Europe’s most elite competition, Celtic fans last night raised the flags of Ireland and Palestine together in a powerful message that quickly went viral.

“They can oppress you, they can imprison you, but they will never break your spirit. Gaza, Jenin, Tulkarm, Nablus, you will never walk alone,” said a message from Celtic fans.

Interestingly, Celtic players recently played against Hibernian in the Scottish football elite and during that time their fans sent another interesting message that resonated in the football world.

Contrary to the attitudes of most of Europe on the matter, Celtic fans said: “Refugees, welcome”, along with several other Palestinian flags.

Otherwise, the Scottish representative opened last night in a fantastic way the new season of the Champions League with a 5:1 victory over Slovan Bratislava. All five goals were scored by different scorers. /Football Match Up/
