The legendary footballer Thierry Henry has left the position of selector in the U-21 National Team of France for “private reasons”.
In August 2023, Henry took over as coach of the France U-21 national team and hired his former teammate Gael Clichy as his assistant.
However, although he had a contract until the summer of next year, today he officially announced his decision to leave the national team.
Namely, before the French national team is a gathering where they will play against Slovenia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, but Henry only 20 days earlier announced that he will no longer lead this selection for, as he explained, reasons of a private nature.
“I would like to thank the French Football Federation and its president, Philippe Diallo, who offered me this incredible opportunity. Winning a silver medal at the Olympics will remain one of the greatest prides of my life. I am extremely grateful for this magic. experience”, declared Henry today at the farewell of the U-21 national team of France.
