A chance encounter between Britney Spears and Victor Webanyama at a Las Vegas casino on Wednesday, July 5, doesn’t seem to have gone as planned.
TMZ reported that the personal security of the San Antonio Spurs basketball player reacted violently when Britney went to ask the 19-year-old Frenchman to take a picture together.
The incident happened when the pop star was in a hotel restaurant with her husband, Sam Asghari, and two other friends. When they entered the casino, the singer was noticed by her fans, who then surrounded her to take photos. But she noticed Victor Webanyama and went towards him to tell him that she was a fan of the basketball player and to take a picture together.
When Britney approached him, she grabbed him by the shoulders and within seconds, a member of his security team allegedly punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground. According to the same information, her glasses fell from the sharp fall and she looked worried.
After Spears returned to her table, the security guard went to apologize. He reportedly told her: “You know what it’s like to be overrun by fans.”
Reports say that Britney Spears went to the police reporting a beating, but nothing has been confirmed from her side.
