Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has sidelined Antony as he revealed who the English club’s worst signing of all time is.
Scholes, who spent 20 years at Old Trafford winning various trophies including 11 Premier League titles, two Champions Leagues, has revealed who he thinks was the worst transfer in the club’s history.
In selecting the player, Scholes decided to ignore Antony’s name, despite the fact that the Brazilian has been a huge disappointment for the Red Devils.
“You know what, it’s going to go further than that. Veron was a good player, a great player in Europe and I’m not sure why it didn’t work out for him. I’m going back to the goalkeepers, we had to replace Peter Schmeichel, something we knew would be difficult.”
“Fabian Barthez was good, but I’m thinking more about Massimo Taib, Mark Bosnich. I think he was a good goalkeeper at Villa, Mark. He came to us and was not professional at all. Honestly, it was funny. When we practiced shooting, after three shots he felt tired”.
