Jude Bellingham gave a cool answer when asked if he is going all out to emulate Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid.
The 21-year-old Englishman has enjoyed a meteoric rise since his move to the Bernabeu in 2023, winning La Liga and the Champions League in his first season.
With new teammates Endrick and Kylian Mbappe starting to settle in, comparisons to the Real Madrid greats of yesteryear are beginning to emerge.
The Three Lions representative was recently asked if he sees himself as the next Zidane to arrive at the Bernabeu.
“I’m not coming here to be Zidane, he was great,” replied the 21-year-old star. “I’m trying to be Jude Bellingham carrying on legacy number 5.”
It’s that kind of bold confidence that has helped Bellingham develop such a quick bond with supporters in Spain.
