Although Alvaro Morata is the captain of Spain, he has often received criticism from Spanish fans, but this week he raised his voice asking for peace and social calm, while he came out of Berlin with a goal and victory in the first match against Croatia.
The Spanish forward has silenced his critics, taking his goal tally to seven in the European Championships alone.
Morata has only names like Cristiano Ronaldo (14 goals) and Michel Platini (9 goals) before him. Of course, the Portuguese has played 25 games in the European Championships, compared to 11 games that Alvaro Morata has.

The confidence of the selector Luis de la Fuente in Morata is total and absolute. He said it and showed it, while his teammates all say that they refer to the striker, both on and off the field.
Morata has scored against Croatia in three different European Championships. He did it in 2016, repeated it in 2021 and now, in the 2024 edition, he has done it again.

The striker was unable to finish the match as he was injured following a collision with the Croatian defense which forced him to leave the field. It is not yet known whether he will be ready for the match with Italy. /Football Match Up/
