Man City earns a significant amount of money after the clause in the sale of Aro Muric

Manchester City are said to have earned £2.5m or €3m as a result of the sell-on clause they put in a previous transfer deal.

The Citizens sold Kosovar goalkeeper Arijanet Muric to Burnley two years ago when he was unable to break into the first team.

The 25-year-old has now signed for Ipswich Town to return to the Premier League following Burnley’s relegation to the Championship.

The deal includes an initial fee of £8m (€9.5m), which could rise to £10m (€12m) with bonuses depending on performance.

According to Manchester Evening NewsCity will receive a chunk of that transfer, having included a sell-on clause of almost 25 per cent in the deal that took Muric to Burnley.

The Premier League champions have now made a total profit of £60m (€71m) from sales this summer.

Otherwise, Muric was for many years part of the youth and first team of City, where under the orders of coach Pep Gurdiola he played five full games. /Football Match Up/
