Liverpool are expected to break their salary structure to sign one of their Premier League rivals’ most highly-rated players.
Arne Slot will aim to sign new players before the 2024/2025 season. Liverpool’s new coach has already put the stamp on the departure of one of Jurgen Klopp’s traditions.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are very close to agreeing a deal to sign Rio Ngumoha from Chelsea in a move that would break their academy wage structure.

Slot and Liverpool are willing to break the salary structure to sign the talented striker.
The club are said to like the 15-year-old’s style of play, so the deal between the two clubs is expected to be completed soon.
Ngumoha could rub shoulders with the likes of Virgil Van Dijk and Mohamed Salah at Liverpool.
Van Dijk and Salah have been linked with a possible move away from the club as they have a year left on their contracts, but Slot is confident the pair will not be moving away from England./Football Match Up/
