Lewis Hamilton: I always thought about Ferrari

Lewis Hamilton: I’ve always thought about Ferrari The seven-time world champion, in an interview with GQ, explains how 2024 is an unprecedented year, from the present with Mercedes to the future with Ferrari.

It is a season unlike any other that Lewis Hamilton is experiencing: after the announcement of his transfer to Ferrari in 2025, unsatisfactory results were achieved for the seven-time world champion. In a lengthy interview with GQ, the British champion looks back on the last few years of his career, from that controversial 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix to his choice to race for the Maranello team. Not forgetting his passions, fashion and cinema, which may play an important role in his life after leaving the race.

“I’ve never started a year thinking about the next year,” he reveals. “I’ve always been asked where I see myself in five years, but I’ve never had such a broad horizon.” Now the situation is different, from 2025 the pilot will realize the dream of all pilots: “Moving to Ferrari was one of my goals. Maybe it was a more unconscious desire, related to the early period of my life, but it has always been an objective of important to me”.

Despite this certainty, thoughts are always focused on the present: “I’m training harder than ever. My commitment to the team is exactly the same as in previous years, I want to win. My approach remains the same until the end. I don’t let myself get distracted by what will happen next.”
