Lamine Yamal has explained the main difference between Hansi Flick and Xavi after shining once again for Barcelona in the duel against Girona.
Barcelona has already won five in a row in La Liga, as it “destroyed” Girona 4-1 on Sunday, thanks to two goals from Lamine Yamal and a goal from Dani Olmo and Pedri.
Yamal, who had some very good performances for Spain at Euro 2024, is continuing his brilliance with the Blaugrana giants as he has three goals and four assists so far in the new season.
As he is currently Barcelona’s main man, the 17-year-old has spoken about the main difference between Xavi and Hans Flick, explaining how the German’s tactics have transformed the team.
Yamal also performed well under Xavi where he played a full 50 games in all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing nine assists.
“Coming back from the national team is always difficult, but today we were very good, we are already thinking about the next match”.
“The key has been to be more direct, when we recover the ball, we only think about how to score”, said Yamal.
Flick’s men have scored 17 goals in the first five league games, and this is Barcelona’s best start since the 2017/2018 season when Lionel Messi and his teammates scored the same number of goals.
