FC Zurich has reacted after the scandal in the match with Zug where they won 2-0, but the result was not the topic of the media, but the moment when the father of the Albanian player, Labinot Bajrami, threw an umbrella at coach Ricardo Moniz.

The 19-year-old talent, Labinot Bajrami, who recently signed a professional contract until 2028, will be demoted to U21.

“Due to his indiscipline and his vulgar response to the coach’s tactical instructions, he was immediately temporarily transferred to the U21 team at FC Zurich,” the club announced.

Bajram’s father has also been punished, as he was the one who shot coach Moniz with an umbrella.

The father will be handed a “several year stadium ban across Switzerland” for the offence, according to the club. He is also banned from entering the FCZ sports complex.

According to Blick’s information, the father of the Albanian player should also expect criminal prosecution.

Three days after the incident, Moniz is still not fully recovered, but he led training during the week and definitely wants to continue as Zurich coach.

“I love this sport. But this incident had nothing to do with football. This is a shame and disturbing”, declared the coach. /Football Match Up/
