Many fans on social media were surprised by the way the full-back prayed.
The English player made a ‘dua’ gesture which is used to pray to Allah in Islam.
Trent has previously spoken about his Christian faith, so this gesture comes as a surprise to many.
“Why does Trent pray like a Muslim? Not that it matters, but just curious,” one fan wrote on X.
“Did I see it right? Is Trent Muslim now??!” asked another.
