Barnabas Varga suffered a horrific injury in Hungary’s 1-0 win over Scotland in the last round of the Euro 2024 group stage.
While the first half ended goalless, in the second half both teams were looking for the winning goal.
But in the 67th minute Scotland goalkeeper Angus Gunn made a brutal tackle on Varga, leaving him lying on the pitch unconscious.
Hungary’s players quickly responded by calling for first aid, while a cordon was set up to prevent fans from seeing the scene.
Varga left the field and was rushed to the hospital.
There are still no reports about his condition, but the injury is serious. /Football Match Up/
