Denver writes history, is declared NBA champion for the first time.

Denver beat Miami 94-89 in Game 5 of the NBA Finals to cap off a fantastic and memorable season.

The Nuggets erased a 10-point deficit in the second quarter to close out the final 4-1 game.

The Heat threatened to make a comeback in the closing minutes, but star Jimmy Butler’s layoff prevented them from doing so.

Led by NBA MVP Nikola Jokic, Denver won the title after a 47-year wait.

Jokic scored 28 points and had 16 rebounds, while during the final series he averaged 30.2 points, 14 rebounds and 7.2 assists.

In the Finals series, his colleague Jamal Murray also played well, averaging 21.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 10 assists per game.

On the other hand, in “Ball Arena”, 21 points of Jimmy Butler and 20 of Bam Adebayo were not enough for Miami.
