The Albanian national team officially started training for the first two matches in the new edition of the UEFA Nations League on Monday.
Selector Sylvinho has made a change to the list on the first day of the build-up. Instead of Armando Broja, Sylvinho has invited Myrto Uzuni.
Uzuni was left out of the European Championship, while he was not even included in the first list for the two matches of this month. But since Broja has physical problems, Uzuni takes his place.
“First point, Broja is not on the list, he is out. We have waited until the end and even yesterday we were in contact with Everton, the staff, all of them. He had a problem with his Achilles tendon, he has started training, but we know he is out for the next 10-15 days, he can’t help us. I feel sorry for him and I wish him a speedy recovery, we have invited Uzun, who can be with us tomorrow”, declared Sylvinho first.
Next, the Brazilian explained how he sees Uzun in Albania and the position he will play.
“Uzuni came to us as an attacking winger, played in Warsaw, started at home against Moldova, but he has a year and a half with Granada as a second striker. I have seen him as a center forward, we have always valued him as a center forward”, underlined Slvinho.
Albania plays against Ukraine on September 7 in Prague. On September 10, Georgia awaits in Tirana. The matches belong to Group 1 of League B of the League of Nations. /Football Match Up/
